Any bookseller may apply to join the WBM - we have no restrictions on type of books being offered (apart from Print on Demand offerings, which we do not accept) or on the structure of the bookseller's business (e.g. has B&M, sells online only etc)
Our application form is not a test or an exam. It is a way to group together all the relevant data about you and your business in one central place. Some of it will be displayed for customers to learn about you and your books before they place an order.
If you have listings at other websites, you've already likely put together the answers to some of these questions. You are welcome to copy your policies, terms and conditions, and your website details from your other sites. You many change your input, should you want or need to. For example, if you decide to stay open 7 nights a week instead of just Friday night, do remember to change that information here.
Applying to the World Book Market does not guarantee automatic acceptance. We have a procedure to follow regarding the acceptance and in rare instances, the rejection, of an application.

If your application is accepted you will get an e-mail from us, advising you of your new Member Password permitting you to access your member Administration Page (MAP).
You will also be given access to the private "hidden" area of our Booksellers' Forum, which is the Members Only area, and where the vast bulk of our Technical Support is provided and shared amongst Members.

There are a number of sections requiring written information from yourself.
You are welcome to cut and paste this from other sites you list on. If you're uncertain what sort of information to put in here, go to the WBM homepage, click on Complete Member List, then click on a few names and read what they have for these sections.
- Your Terms of Trade - for example, forms of payment taken, shipping overview, return policy.
- About Us - what kind of store you run (B&M or just internet or both), what kind of stock you offer including specialties, special services-what makes your store unique, what makes it yours.
- Trading Hours - when is your Brick and Mortar store open. When are you available via the internet or telephone for questions and orders.
- Contact Us - e-mail address and, should you wish phone calls, telephone number(s).
- General Comments - anything further you think we should know about you or your business.
When the application is the way you want it, click on the Submit button at the bottom of the screen.
