What is the World Book Market?
The World Book Market is a bookseller co-operative formed by a number of quality booksellers around the world, each willing to act as physical representatives and agents for one another in his or her chosen area, state or region. Our listings are all grouped together at this site, and are also carried on a number of our private websites.
All members have found themselves to the sameCode of Ethics governing each and every transaction with customers.
If customers have problems with delivery after ordering on-line, his/her nearest World Book Market Member will personally help investigate the matter.
In the unlikely event that purchased books turn up which the customer feels are not “as described” there will be the additional option for a customer to take or ship any such book back to his/her nearest World Book Market Member, who will assist with any such problem.
It's all about harnessing the enormous power of the Internet to the personal security and comfort of dealing with an actual bookseller near to you, in an actual location, with an actual person sitting behind an actual telephone to assist with any needs, wants, difficulties or problems which may arise from the customer's on-line dealings and purchasing of books.
Customers who are travelling will be able to order books from any Member, and request that they be forwarded to the World Book Market Member in their next city of destination, or somewhere else upon their route.
Or they may order books whilst travelling (either on-line or in the actual bookshop of a Member, and have the books shipped to the bookseller Member nearest their home, to be collected by them upon their return.
In other words, you can safely and securely order any of the books listed at this site knowing that you are dealing, in essence, with a combined group of careful and caring booksellers, and not some faceless presence somewhere on "the Internet".
